Live Today: Android Testing

Hi Tomies! Today marks the start of something we’ve been looking forward to for months: Android beta testing!!

What is beta testing?

The first version of Tome’s brand new Android app is going to be available to limited batches of users. We love beta testing because it gives our most enthusiastic users the chance to hop on Tome early, and it helps us squash loads of bugs before the full launch.

When does Tome Android officially launch?

Tome’s Android app comes out July 29th! You can preregister for it now so that it’ll be automatically downloaded on launch day.

How do I become a beta tester?

The first step is to join our Discord, and select the “Android Beta Testing” role, go to the #Android-waiting-room channel, and find the pinned post containing a link to a Google Form…

This might seem like a lot of steps! That’s because the Play Store requires us to submit each Beta tester’s Google email for verification.

After that, all you have to do is wait your turn! Today we will be giving the access to the first fifty to sign up, but we will continue to roll out spots as the next two weeks unfold.

Once you’re in, have fun!!! Customize your profile, enjoy receiving notifications, and post about your favorite books. If you see a bug, be sure to report it in our Discord, so we can fix it ASAP.

What’s next for Tome?

The Team is cooking up plenty of new features, including a GoodReads import, many improvements to our Book Tracking Feature, and some fun surprises.
