When are we doing Android? Why does it take a long time to do android?
We are a team of four (with only two programmers!), which means we can only work on one app at a time, especially because we want to give you the best experience possible. Making an Android app is a lot more complicated than just copying and pasting what we have for iOS, so it will take some time.
Are we author/editor/small business friendly?
Of course, we are excited to support all kinds of bookish creators. If you have any features in mind that would be helpful to you, drop them in the suggestions channel in our Discord!
What can be posted on Tome?
You are welcome to post whatever content you’d like on Tome -- however we are first building the community for fantasy readers. Expect to see lots of fairies, dark princes, and magic spells! We plan to expand to all genres eventually.
When will Tome be available in other countries?
Getting an app approved in multiple countries can be surprisingly complicated! In the meantime, please enjoy Tome through our website.
Do we use generative AI to make our app?
No!
We want to support our community’s artists. All of the illustrations and design have been done by the Tome team, and we look forward to featuring art from Tome Users in the future.
You can also rest assured that your data is safe from being used for AI when posting on Tome.
Can I customize my collections?
Yes!
In addition to being able to fully customize your profile, you can customize each of your collections individually. Each one can have its own header, background image, and choice of light or dark font.
How do I hide or unhide tags from my feed?
There may be certain topics or tags you're not interested in automatically seeing on your feed. To add or remove filters from your feed, go to your Profile and click Customize. Scroll down to Settings and go to Blocked Tags. Here you can add or remove tags for additional content to better tune your feed to your liking.
How do I block other users?
Just like with tags, you can block or unblock other Tome users. Go to your Profile and click Customize. Scroll down to Settings and go to Blocked Users. Here you can add or remove users to better tune your feed to your liking.
What are the dimensions for profile backgrounds?

How can I add a book to the Book Search on Tome?
Right now, our book search is powered by ISBNdb, which has proven to be better than Google Books!
