We are a small team of 4 building the next big social platform in Brooklyn, New York. We're a venture backed startup on the quest to build the best app for readers of fantasy books, on the way to redefining the business model for social platforms.
Our company name BingBong Inc started as a homage to our origins in NYC (as everyone knows the sound of the train doors closing) but has grown into embodying the silly, playful spirit of making an online home for people to customize — and the process of creating the best ideas, which come from ricocheting from one person to the next.
The mission of BingBong Inc is unchanged from our earliest incarnations: to create a social network for the remixable internet, where anyone can customize, personalize, and own the platform. In doing so, we prove that it is more ethical and more profitable to monetize not with ads but from a marketplace of user generated content.
We believe in the power of the miniapp: Just like how crowdsourced YouTube videos supplanted Netflix watch time, so too will crowdsourced miniapps beat static post types on Instagram. Crowdsourced content always beats centralized content.
